Case Studies
Modular Cold Room Installation at Silverstone Circuit

The Brief
Supporting Silverstone’s hospitality expansion with purpose-built cold prep facilities
Midlands Catering Projects were appointed to design and install an external modular room at Silverstone Circuit to support their expanding hospitality offer. The space was to be used primarily for dessert preparation on race days and needed to be chilled to maintain food safety standards. The brief also required cold storage facilities within the new area to help increase capacity and streamline operations for hospitality packages.
What we did
Delivering a tailored solution
Working closely with the Silverstone Circuits team, we delivered a tailored solution that included:
- Cold room installation
- Food preparation area
- Storage zones
- Fabrication to suit existing infrastructure
We collaborated with our specialist contractor to design and specify the structure, with client sign-off at each stage, and ensured seamless integration with the existing building.
How we did it
Coordination and full-scope project delivery with Silverstone.
The project required careful coordination with Silverstone’s in-house building installation team to ensure compliance and minimal disruption. Our scope of work included:
- Full design and planning
- Supply of all equipment
- Safety flooring installation
- Groundworks preparation and coordination
- Mechanical and electrical installation
The RESULTS
Expanded chilled prep space enhances efficiency and guest experience
The project delivered an additional 64 square metres of high-quality, chilled preparation space, directly contributing to the efficiency and output of the hospitality team. The added capacity allows for increased service levels on race days and improves both staff workflow and guest experience.
